Jorge has over 17 of biotech experience in commercial strategy, business development, forecasting and market research and was a Partner with DNA Ink for 7 years. He is currently with Day One Biopharmaceuticals as their VP of Commercial and Portfolio Planning. Prior to his role with us, Jorge served various roles within Commercial Operations at Genentech where he had responsibility for commercial strategy, market research, and forecasting for the cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurobiology franchises. He also supported launch planning, managed-care strategy and competitive intelligence efforts across Genentech’s virology, immunology, and the oncology therapeutic areas.
Jorge began his career with Booz Allen Hamilton serving aerospace and government clients in total cost of ownership, business case, and investment strategy analyses.
Jorge holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a Masters of Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Northwestern University.
In his spare time, Jorge can be found fine-tuning his skills as a classical pianist or breaking a sweat doing bikram yoga.
